Dr. Renuka’s HOLISTIC HEALTHCARE

Dr. Renuka Parmar, MBBS, MF HOM(Med)(UK), DIACH, PGDIC is a practitioner of Integrative Medicine. She has been in private practice for the past fifteen years and runs two private clinics - one in Thane and the other in Borivali.

She integrates alternative therapies with conventional treatment to offer a Holistic and Integrative approach towards healthcare. She believes that good health is so much more than being only symptom free and it is her goal to help her patients achieve good health as defined by the WHO - as a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. With this in mind, she addresses all aspects of health (physical, mental and emotional) in order to empower the patient to achieve and maintain good health.

What is Integrative Medicine?

Integrative medicine combines conventional medical treatments with evidence-based complementary therapies to address the person as a whole – mind and body - to promote optimal health and healing. It aims to use the least invasive, least toxic, and least costly methods to facilitate well-being while keeping the patient’s needs and health as a priority.

Key aspects of integrative medicine:

  • Holistic Approach:

It considers the interconnectedness of physical, emotional and mental aspects of a person's well-being.

  • Evidence-Based:

It relies on scientific evidence to determine the safety and effectiveness of both conventional and complementary therapies.

  • Patient-Centered:

It prioritizes the individual needs and preferences of each person.

  • Focus on Prevention and Health:

It emphasizes lifestyle factors, such as diet, exercise, and stress management, to promote overall health and prevent disease.

  • Emphasis on the Patient-Practitioner Relationship:

It recognizes the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship between the patient and the healthcare provider.
